Experience makes the difference.

Planning

Board members, staff, volunteers, donors, clients all expect your nonprofit to have a plan for the organization and for any major initiatives. And with good reason. The future may not unroll according to the plan, but the planning process itself gives your organization the tools to recognize the need for change and know how to handle it.

But different needs call for different types of planning. The biggest-picture planning typically involves a strategic plan, while fundraising assessments and planning help keep development on track. Entrepreneurial efforts and programs dedicated to earned income require business plans or income analysis, as does increasing membership income. And there are very specific planning needs, such as help with starting botanical gardens or help getting capacity grants for planning. At EMD, we have experience in all these areas.
