Safe Connections
The name stands for 'experience makes the difference.' And it does. Just ask yourself if you're better at what you do today than you were five, even three, years ago.
EMD principals have years of experience working with nonprofits from every point of view -- staff leadership, board membership, corporate funders, community program managers, united arts and social service funds. We've tackled the tough issues of financial and personnel management, all types of fundraising, earning income in a nonprofit setting, strategic planning, marketing and communications. So we've seen what works, what doesn't; how great ideas need nurturing; how opportunities and issues look different from different stakeholder sight lines.
EMD principals have led organizations and projects, managed staff and volunteers, worked with boards in good times and difficult ones. We take the long view, always understanding that there are immediate challenges that must be met.
We bring experience from the museum, performing arts, botanical garden, zoo, hospital, education and corporate philanthropy worlds to bear on client issues. We have served in many executive capacities, have led and developed program areas, worked as consultants and advisors to numerous clients and have experience on many local and national boards.
