Oklahoma Centennial Botanical Garden Announces New Executive Director
Dr. Todd Lasseigne has been named Executive Director of the Oklahoma Centennial Botanical Garden, announced by Burt Holmes, President of the Board. Dr. Lasseigne was the Executive Director of the Paul J. Ciener Arboretum in North Carolina and prior to that was Assistant Director at the JC Raulston Arboretum, part of the University of North Carolina.
EMD conducted the international search. "There was tremendous interest in this position. The OCBG has a fabulous site, an extraordinary board, and has raised more than $9 million since its inception - remarkable achievements for a new garden. Under Todd's leadership, the OCBG will be a mecca for plant lovers," said Rick Daley, the EMD principal in charge of the engagement.
Congratulations to Hope Cottage, a Christian-based homeless shelter for women in Flagstaff, Arizona, on being named 2010 “Organization of the Year” in Flagstaff by the Arizona Daily Sun.
Hope Cottage, the only homeless shelter available to most women in northern Arizona, gives women and their children a safe, nurturing environment where they receive support and counseling as well as shelter. In 2010, Hope Cottage moved into a new facility that triples capacity after a successful $2 million fundraising drive.
And congratulations to Stephanie Boardman, former Executive Director of Hope Cottage, on her promotion to Director of Sunshine Rescue Mission (Hope Cottage’s parent organization) and Hope Cottage.
EMD was pleased to conducted the feasibility study for the New Hope Cottage and provided capital campaign counsel on the fundraising drive.
