Hiring a new executive director or CEO is frequently the most important decision a board will make; hiring a development director is almost as important. At EMD we know how to make the hiring process inclusive and effective, starting with board and staff discussions that will confirm or change the position description. 

We coach search committee members about the hiring process, recruit candidates, implement a lengthy and thorough screening process and help with the final candidate interviews. We can also help integrate the successful candidate into the community, if he or she is new to the area.
